Solicitor – Litigation Team
Location: Tamworth (with occasional travel to Northampton)
Salary: 60k+ DOE
Working Pattern: Office-based during probation, then hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home). Fridays are team office days.
We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join our Litigation team, primarily based in Tamworth. The role involves managing a caseload of litigated Defendant motor claims for self-insured corporate and insurer clients, alongside supervising junior team members in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Defend litigated motor claims from issue to trial, including personal injury, property damage, credit hire, LVI, and fraud matters

Assess liability and maintain reserves in line with client SLAs and KPIs

Investigate claims and negotiate with insurers, solicitors, and third parties to achieve the best outcomes

Value general and special damages in accordance with CPR and relevant authorities

Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client agreements, and case management systems

Supervise and support Claims Administration Assistants as a technical referral point

Maintain compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules for financial transactions

Support the wider litigation team in delivering consistent standards
Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor

Experience in defence claims handling, ideally within an insurer or TPA environment

Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
