The Role
As a Claims Handler, you’ll play a key role in ensuring claims are progressed efficiently, customers remain engaged throughout the process, and every opportunity for claim conversion and retention is maximised.
You’ll be managing a portfolio of claims, speaking with customers daily, resolving issues, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and helping to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers to support them through their claims journey
- Identify and remove barriers preventing claims from progressing
- Manage pending and non-progressing claims to maximise conversion rates
- Re-engage customers who may have disengaged from the claims process
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners to achieve positive outcomes
- Resolve customer concerns and provide regular updates
- Ensure accurate case management and record keeping
- Maximise claim retention and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience within motor claims, insurance, credit hire, vehicle repair, personal injury or a similar claims environment
- Strong telephone communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Confident handling objections and challenging conversations
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
Desirable
- Experience in claim conversion, retention or claim rescue activities
- Knowledge of motor claims processes
- Experience using case management systems
