Following a promising career in Insurance and Broking of over 5 years I was given the opportunity to move into the Recruitment sector which of course was a big step and change in my career, but I am thankful of the people who noticed the good in me as I have to say it is the most rewarding role I have ever had!
Since then I then spent the next 11 years in recruitment, initially starting out as a Resourcer before quickly progressing into a 360 degree Recruitment Consultant, whilst the role of a Consultant was sometimes challenging and like being on a rollercoaster the feeling of supporting clients and candidates has provided me with the best feeling inside and the job satisfaction continues to put a smile on my face.
Using my name as the ice breaker I quickly progressed both in my role and establishing relationships with more and more clients in Insurance Broking before deciding to focus on expanding the Claims Desk.
After many years of placing 100’s of people in a variety of roles I then started to expand my specialisms into Finance, and Legal. Now I was placing candidates within the following sectors: Broking, Claims, Finance, General Insurance and Legal.
In November 2022, I decided to take the next big step in setting up my own company ‘MPJ Recruitment Ltd’ whilst doing so I appreciated it was moving into the unexpected arena, however with a strong passion of recruitment and placing the very best candidates in the industry of Broking, Claims, Finance, General Insurance and Legal and I have never looked back. ????
After setting up MPJ Recruitment Ltd, I experienced one big set back as my Dad passed away in the December of 2022 2 days before Christmas, whilst it being an extremely upsetting period in my life as my parents have been a huge part of my life growing up I continue to strive in my life and career knowing that my Dad is always around me and smiling whilst being proud of mine and the teams performance and growth.
The difference with MPJ Recruitment Ltd compared to other recruitment agencies is that we care about our candidates and clients, we don’t place candidates for the sake of placing. Instead, we listen to our candidates’ aspirations, discuss the roles which we are supporting our fantastic clients with and rather than forcing a square peg into a round hole our process is both professional and consultancy approach.
I instil the above qualities into the workplace here at MPJ Recruitment Ltd and I am in regular contact with existing and potential new clients whilst informing the difference in the way both me and the team here at MPJ Recruitment Ltd work. I have also worked with some amazing people in my career and I am extremely thankful of the support, guidance I have received along the way, however whilst I sound biased I can honestly say that the team I have around me are the best people I have ever worked with and the difference here is that we are one big family. ????.
MPJ Recruitment Ltd will celebrate its 3-year anniversary in November 2025, and we have come a long way in the way of making the business a reputable, and recognised company within the thriving sectors we work in.
With my team we will continue to provide our candidates and clients with a world-class service whilst expanding our client base and by doing so recruiting the best recruitment personnel around who share the same values.

In my spare time I spend the majority of my time in the outdoors, my passion for walking and hiking is something I love. Not only does it keep me relatively fit and active it is also fantastic for my mental health and wellbeing. As well as the outdoors I am a Manchester United FC fan where I have been lucky enough to support the club across both the Premier League, Cup competitions and away in Europe.
Most importantly I spend time with my family and friends and making fond memories.
