The Role

You’ll manage your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters, handling claims from pre-litigation through to settlement while developing your litigation skills within an experienced and supportive team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims
  • Handling both pre-litigation and litigated matters
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documents
  • Reviewing expert evidence and disclosure
  • Negotiating settlements and advising clients
  • Preparing matters for hearings and trial where required
  • Working closely with colleagues to achieve positive client outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and the Civil Procedure Rules

About You

We’re interested in speaking with candidates who:

  • Are a Newly Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Have experience within litigation gained during a Training Contract, Paralegal role or fee-earning position
  • Have Housing Disrepair experience or a genuine interest in developing within the sector
  • Possess strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills
  • Are organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Have experience of Housing Conditions and/or HDR claims (desirable but not essential)
