Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE

The Role
As a Credit Hire Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Credit Hire claims from inception through to settlement.
You will work closely with claimants, solicitors, accident management companies, insurers and other stakeholders to achieve cost-effective outcomes whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Credit Hire claims through the full claims lifecycle.
- Review liability and assess indemnity positions on all claims.
- Investigate, negotiate and settle Credit Hire claims efficiently and proactively.
- Liaise with solicitors, insurers, brokers and accident management companies.
- Challenge hire periods, rates, need, impecuniosity and other areas of dispute where appropriate.
- Review supporting documentation and evidence to validate claims.
- Identify opportunities to mitigate claims costs and reduce overall indemnity spend.
- Handle complex and disputed cases, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all claims are handled in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and refer potentially fraudulent or suspicious claims.
- Deliver a professional and high-quality service to all parties involved.
About You
- Previous experience handling Credit Hire claims is essential.
- Strong understanding of Credit Hire principles and claims processes.
- Experience dealing with liability disputes and settlement negotiations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to cost control.
- Experience working within insurance, claims, legal or accident management environments would be advantageous.
