Care / Family Paralegal
Location: Luton Office / Hybrid
Salary: £25,500 – £30,000 DOE

As the firm continues to grow, they’re looking for an experienced Care / Family Paralegal to join their established team in Luton. The Role
- Working alongside experienced solicitors, you’ll play a key role in supporting a varied caseload of Care matters, helping to deliver an exceptional service to clients while gaining exposure to high-quality legal work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting solicitors with a busy caseload of Care matters.
- Managing client enquiries, appointments and ongoing communications.
- Preparing legal documents, court applications and correspondence.
- Opening and maintaining case files, ensuring compliance and conflict checks are completed accurately.
- Liaising with Counsel, experts and external agencies to keep matters progressing smoothly.
- Assisting with trial preparation, court bundles and Legal Aid administration.
- Attending client meetings and court hearings when required, taking clear and accurate attendance notes.
- Maintaining case management systems and providing general administrative support to the team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about family law. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within Childcare, Care or Family Law.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Confident IT skills, including experience using legal case management systems.
- Experience using the Legal Aid Agency CCMS portal would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
