Claims Handler

💰 Salary: Up to £28,000 dependent on experience
🕒 Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm, flexible working available)

The Opportunity
MPJ Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing insurance organisation who are looking to recruit experienced Motor Claims Handlers to join their team based in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and Accidental Damage claims, looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming FNOL and Accidental Damage claims, capturing accurate information and progressing cases efficiently
- Manage a portfolio of claims through to settlement via telephone and written communication
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and guidance throughout the claims process
- Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and service standards
- Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate where appropriate
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in motor claims handling, ideally 1-2+ years
- Experience dealing with FNOL and/or AD claims is desirable
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Working towards or willing to study towards CII qualifications (support provided)
