About the Role

MPJ Recruitment are supporting a respected and expanding commercial insurance brokerage in their search for an experienced Commercial Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone who is Acturis trained and confident managing a varied commercial portfolio while delivering exceptional client service.

You’ll work closely with Account Executives/Directors, handling new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments, while ensuring clients receive a smooth, professional and proactive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and broker commercial insurance enquiries including new business, MTAs and renewals.

• Prepare high‑quality market submissions and supporting documentation.

• Work alongside Account Executives/Directors to help achieve new business and renewal targets.

• Secure competitive renewal terms and complete all associated documentation and system updates.

• Support Account Executives/Directors with prospect pipeline management and research.

• Prepare Renewal Review reports, including claims experience summaries.

• Manage incoming client, insurer and third‑party enquiries professionally and efficiently.

• Maintain an organised diary system including debt management, accounts queries, chasing documentation and renewal terms.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ commercial insurance broking experience.

• Acturis experience is essential.

• Confident handling quotations, renewals and MTAs across a range of commercial policies.

• Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, products, wordings and placement options.

• Excellent communication, organisation and client‑handling skills.
