Solicitor – Occupational Health & Casualty 

£35,000-£50,000 DOE

We are currently seeking a Solicitor to join our nationally recognised Catastrophic Injury group; one of the largest in the UK.

Within this area we act for household name composite insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of multi-track matters that are of significant value. You will join a dynamic and fast paced Occupational Health & Casualty team and gain access to top level industry training.

As a whole, the business has a unique approach to providing legal services and we work with market leaders and the best in the industry, all whilst providing a supportive and collaborative environment, one in which you will work towards a shared vision.

In this role you will:

• Assist senior team members with their Fast and Multi Track Injury caseload.
• With appropriate supervision, help progress the fee earners EL/PL (disease) caseload towards a satisfactory/speedy conclusion.
• Prepare instructions to counsel.
• Prepare court bundles.
• Assess liability & quantum.
• Review expert witness statements.
• Update the case management system.
• Provide the highest level of client care at all times.

What we are looking for:

we are keen to speak with applicants who can demonstrate a genuine interest in Catastrophic Personal Injury work who possess the following;

• Relevant legal qualifications i.e. LLB and possibly the LPC
• Legal Assistant/Paralegal or similar experience & therefore knowledge of progressing legal matters.
• An aptitude for learning and personal development
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• We would welcome applications from those with Personal Injury experience and specifically in the areas of Employers Liability and or Public Liability (EL/PL).
