Motor Claims Handler

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 17:00pm 

Salary: £22,000 to £26,000

Full time / Permanent

What you'll be doing:

• To deal with insurer scheme claims from “cradle to grave”
• Ensure all new claims are handled efficiently in line with the insurer SLA
• Handle incoming inquiries from policyholders, insurers and other third parties in a professional manner.
• Ensure all data recorded is factually & grammatically correct and meets agreed SLA’s and in line with the insurer “best practice guidelines”

Handle claims within the delegated authority of the insurer set out in their SLA’s which includes the following:

• FNOL
• Instructing Engineer, recovery agents, repairers, solicitors
• Undertake any other duties as necessary
• Ensure work area is tidy and free of hazards

Skills required:

• Knowledge of policyholder motor insurer claims
• Knowledge of dealing with third party motor claims.
• Knowledge of Credit Hire - ABI GTA guidelines
• Manage client’s expectations
• Manage relationships
• Manage own performance and development
• Use relevant technology and company software

Regulatory Knowledge:

• Industry codes of practice ABI
• Insurer “Best Practice” Guidelines
• FSA, MOJ guidelines
